A great way to help with the job search is to learn what tools are available to help you locate your first professional library position, and to learn what search committees are looking for.
From where to look for jobs, to that first cover letter, to presenting the right image to interviewers--Sherri Michaels, IU's Instruction and Outreach Services Librarian, has had first-hand experience in working on search committees like the very ones you might face.
Please join Sherri and the ALASC for a presentation and question and answer session on Job Hunting Tools, and Search Committee Expectations. Sherri will demonstrate job sites and searches, and speak to her own experience as a member of search committees for entry level librarian positions. This is a great opportunity to get tips and advice on gaining that library job.
