- "Never disengage from the learning process... Live the life that makes you proud that you are Hoosiers and graduates of one of America's most distinguished universities!" "He also urged graduates to do three things: pursue your passions, practice boundless, selfless service and civic participation." - Adam Herbert, President, Indiana University
- "The pathways you have chosen are not determined, you have created them with the same persistence that led you here... These years of dedication would be much more difficult without the love and support of your family and friends... You are poised on the cusp of even greater achievements... This is the point where you travel to the next highest peak... Your voices will reach the highest realms, regardless of the fields (of employment) you choose to seek." - Michael A. McRobbie, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.
